Sea Otter, bending, updates, and the web.
After a quick visit last week to the Sea Otter Classic, we are excited to share some Digit Datum coverage from our friends at Pinkbike(link), Vital MTB(link), and GMBN(link)!
Most importantly production is moving along well for your pre-ordered Digit Datums, we are excited to share some photos of our one-piece chainstay, seat stays and down tubes. These are all bent for clearance around the tires, drive train, fork crown, bottles, etc - this which might not sound like such a big deal, but making beautiful bends in tubes is among the most difficult processes to perfect (a badly bent tube would be weak, and look like a snake swallowing a rat). Final production, mitering, welding, anodizing and testing is set to fill the next few weeks. Then we ride!!!
If someone you know is interested in being next on the list for a Datum frame, there is still time for them to reserve a Digit Datum for $100 on the new digitbikes.com website - oh yeah, we have a website now!
Happy trails,
Tim
